Police: 17-Year-old Boy Jumps Out Of Vehicle While In Motion

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh police said a toddler was injured after a car flipped in Arlington Thursday evening.Police said the incident started as a traffic stop, when officers pulled over a car on Devlin Street near the entrance to Loretto Cemetery, after seeing a 17-year-old boy they had been searching for.According to police reports, the 17-year-old was riding in the car with the 19-year-old mother of the baby. Police said when the woman got out of the driver's seat after being stopped, the teenager started driving away.Police said the teen drove about half a block before jumping out of the car while it was still moving.The car flipped over, with the child inside, and the 17-year-old fled. Police were still searching for him Thursday night.The toddler suffered bumps and bruises, but did not require treatment at a hospital.
