PITTSBURGH -- The impact of the city budget crisis hits home today when some pools and recreation centers close.

Earlier this week, Mayor Tom Murphy announced the layoffs and closings during a press conference. A total of 27 pools are being shut down and the doors at 19 recreation centers will close.
