PENN HILLS, Pa. -- Police in Penn Hills are searching for two men who forced employees into a bathroom before robbing an insurance company.Channel 4 Action News' Shannon Perrine reported two men robbed Titan Auto Insurance on Rodi Road around 9:30 a.m. Thursday.Police said one of the men came into the business with a paper towel on his face, faking a bloody nose."The taller one came in first holding a paper towel in front of his face. Thought he possibly had a bloody nose or there was a problem. The second individual came in behind them then they forced the women to the floor," said Penn Hills Police Chief Howard Burton.Police said one of the robbers had a gun and the pair used plastic zip ties to tie up the female employees before forcing them into the bathroom. The employees were able to hit the alarm to alert police."The one individual saw that they had pushed the alarm button, so they said, 'Let's get out of here.' so they grabbed the women's purses and they ran," Burton said. The robbers took the women's purses and fled, police said. When officers arrived, they found the women uninjured, but lying on the ground with their hands bound. The women didn't see if the men ran or drove off."Plus, if the women are laying on the floor, they're not going to get up and chase anyone. We wouldn't expect them to. We'd prefer not, rather than jeopardize their safety," Burton said.Police said the investigation is continuing."(We're) waiting to see if any items were used from these women, charge cards anything of that nature. Try to talk to other businesses, commercial areas, look at videos, talk to neighboring police agencies, see if they have something similar," Burton said.Anyone with information in the case is asked to call police.
