A building collapse in Cheswick ruptured gas and water lines Wednesday afternoon, prompting the evacuation of a neighboring building.

Emergency dispatchers told WTAE Channel 4 Action News that the building on Watercrest Way was being demolished when it began falling into an occupied building next door.

The lines have since been capped, but the occupied office building will likely remain closed Thursday while damage is assessed.

There were no reported injuries.
