Lockdown Lifted At Wilkinsburg School
Allegheny Co. School On Alert After Suspicious Person Spotted

WILKINSBURG, Pa. -- Administrators at a Wilkinsburg Elementary School said the school was briefly on lockdown on Tuesday morning.According to a news release from the district, Kelly Elementary School was placed in lockdown after a crossing guard noticed a person outside the school building that she believed to be acting suspiciously.School leaders said police were called to the school as a precaution and students were kept in their classrooms.Police swept the building and determined that no unauthorized persons were inside the school, so the lockdown was lifted.
