Three people were killed and six others injured in a three-vehicle crash that shut down eastbound Interstate 80 late Wednesday night.

Pennsylvania State Police said a Honda Element driven by Thomas Munsell and an International Eagle tractor-trailer driven by John Davis were going westbound near the Clintonville exit when they crossed over the median, with the tractor-trailer striking a Honda Odyssey driven by Shneur Liberow, and Davis' vehicle rolling onto Munsell's car.

Police said Munsell, 66, of Michigan, was killed in the crash. Also killed were two people in Liberow's vehicle -- a 10-year-old boy whose name hasn't been released and 20-year-old Pasha Azulay, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.

A passenger in the Element, Debra Darden-Munsell, and Davis suffered minor injuries in the wreck.

Liberow suffered serious injuries in the crash. A woman, identified as Pass Chana Liberow, a 17-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl were also in the Odyssey and injured in the crash. All were taken to UPMC Seneca hospital.

Leading up to the scene, vehicles ended up in ditches amid wintry weather conditions, Venango County emergency officials said shortly before 10 p.m.

Late last month, a crash spilled hazardous waste onto I-80 near the same area.
