Police said Lambert and his attacker, Shane Hennen, were involved in an argument earlier in the evening at Diesel Night Club.

The fight resumed on Wharton Street when Lambert was stabbed in the neck and cut on his wrist by Hennen, police said.

Police said Hennen may have used a box cutter to attack Lambert.

Hennen turned himself in Friday afternoon after an arrest warrant was issued.

He faces charges of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Lambert was taken in critical condition to UPMC Mercy, police said.

He has since been upgraded to stable condition, police said.
