Jack Slips, Car Crushes Man In Grandmother's DrivewayKevin Garland Jr. Dies From Injuries In JeannettePOSTED: 12:54 pm EST November 19, 2009 JEANNETTE, Pa. -- A Blairsville man died after he was crushed Wednesday night by a car that fell on him in his grandmother's driveway in Jeannette, the Westmoreland County coroner said.The vehicle was propped up by a scissor jack while the man was working on it at the house on Ellsworth Avenue, but the jack slipped and the car landed on him, Jeannette police said.The coroner identified the victim as 24-year-old Kevin Garland Jr. He died after being taken to Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital at Jeannette.
