Hundred Of Tires Burn In Old Junkyard

Hundreds of tires burned for hours at a former junk yard in Dunbar Township in Fayette County.

The fire started at what used to be Ross' Junk Yard on Pechin Road around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday and continued burning into Thursday morning.

At least eight fire companies were called out to tackle the flames on the property, which stretches about an acre.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The fire marshal is investigating how the blaze started.
