Fayette Co. Woman Accused Of Threatening GetGo Clerk With Rifle

Police Say Cindy Rankin Pointed Gun At Clerk, Customers

State police in Uniontown said a Fayette County woman is facing charges that allege she pulled out a rifle and aimed it at a clerk and customers of a convenience store.

According to police reports, 24-year-old Cindy Rankin, of Lemont Furnace, got into an argument with a clerk at the GetGo on Pittsburgh Street in Uniontown.

Police said Rankin left the store, grabbed a rifle from her car and went back inside, pointing the weapon at the clerk and other customers.

No shots were fired during the incident.

Rankin was arrested and is facing assault charges.

She's currently in the Fayette County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
