NORTH BEAVER TOWNSHIP -- A couple managed to escape flames in Lawrence County early Saturday morning.

According to emergency dispatchers, the fire broke about at about 2:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Vance Road in North Beaver Township.

The fire chief said half of the home was engulfed in flames when crews arrived on scene.

Crews were able to knock the fire out in about an hour.

The fire marshal is working to learn the cause of the fire.
