2009 PITTSBURGH -- A man was hit with a pipe in an attempted robbery in Pittsburgh’s Friendship neighborhood Monday night.The incident happened at the intersection of South Pacific and Friendship Avenues just after 11:30 p.m., according to police.The victim suffered deep head lacerations and was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, dispatchers told Channel 4 Action News.Police have not made any arrests.
