Lincoln Place Crash Injures 5, Knocks Out Power

Crews Respond To Scene On Gates Drive

Five people were hurt in an accident in Lincoln Place early Sunday morning that knocked out power for nearby residents.

Crews were called to the 4500 block of Gates Drive shortly before 5 a.m., where a vehicle crashed into a utility pole.

Channel 4 Action News has learned that two people were taken to UPMC Mercy, and another person was taken to UPMC Presbyterian. The names and conditions of all of the victims were not immediately known.

Emergency dispatchers said wires were knocked down and power was lost as a result of this accident. Duquesne Light was called to the scene for repairs.
