Police: Man Tired To Lure Butler Co. Child Into Truck

Richard John Dermond Facing Luring Charges

Police in Butler have charged a man who they said tried to lure a 10-year-old boy into his vehicle.

According to police reports, 41-year-old Richard John Dermond, of Connoquenessing, was driving a 1995 Toyota Tacoma truck Constitution Avenue in Connoquenessing.

Police said the boy was standing at the end of a driveway on the street, waiting for the school bus when Dermond stopped and asked him to get into the vehicle.

Police said Dermon is facing a charge of luring a child into a motor vehicle.
