West Homestead Crash Into Pole, Garage Injures 4

Crews Respond To Scene On West 8th Avenue Early Monday Morning

Four people were injured when the car they were driving knocked over a utility pole and then slammed into a garage in West Homestead.

Four people were sent to the hospital after a car crashed into a pole and a garage in West Homestead.

Crews responded to the 400 block of West 8th Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. Monday.

Channel 4 Action News learned the car was travelling inbound on West 8th Avenue when it came around a bend and struck a utility pole. The car then slammed head-on into a garage.

Crews on scene said that four people were transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, one in critical condition.

The names of the injured people are not known at this time but Channel 4 Action News' Ari Hait reported all the victims were males in their mid-20s.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the crash.
