Neighbors could find out this week how the city of Pittsburgh will deal with problematic abandoned properties on Ivondale Street in Greenfield.

A public meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday in the neighborhood.

Ivondale Street has been dealing with problems for about 10 years, after a landslide forced many residents to abandon their homes.

It is the same street where police said an 11-year-old girl was abducted and subsequently raped in one of the abandoned homes in May.

The meeting will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the International Union of Operating Engineers building on Saline Street.
