A Nemacolin woman was flown to a hospital and died after a late-night car wreck in Monongahela Township, Greene County.

The vehicle ended up on its roof after crashing on Route 21 -- about 1 mile east of Route 88 -- shortly after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver -- Rebecca Lee Lindsay, 31, of Nemacolin -- was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., and later died.

State police said the car was driving through a construction zone and struck two barrels in the right lane, which was closed.

The car moved to the left and struck a cement barrier on the left side of the road, then went back to the right and hit an embankment, which caused the vehicle to become airborne, police said.

Police are still investigating the crash and have not filed any charges.
