Crash Closes Allegheny River Boulevard For Hours

A crash overnight in Penn Hills that sent three people to a hospital prompted the closure of Allegheny River Boulevard for hours Sunday morning.

Police said the accident occurred at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday. Three unidentified people were taken to area hospitals in critical condition. The circumstances of the crash were not known.

Authorities had closed Allegheny River Boulevard between Nadine to Sandy Creek roads as the investigation continued. Officials reopened the road by the mid-morning.
