ARNOLD, Pa. -- An Arnold father, whose home was riddled with bullets while his children slept inside, says he's tired of the violence in his town, but rather than run away, he's taking a stand.
Bullet holes can still be seen in Shawn Reese's 4th Avenue home, the result of a noontime drive-by on Wednesday.
Witnesses said they saw a car come around the corner and fire at least five shots aimed at Reese's home.
"The kids were taking a nap, I was watching TV. I heard gun shots, which isn't anything new, and I got outside to find bullet holes in the side of my house," said Reese.
Once back inside, Reese discovered a bullet next to his sleeping 7 month old.
"Where it entered, it was like a foot and a half from where my son was sleeping, and then it ricocheted off the plaster on the inside of the wall," said Reese.
Reese said he believes his home was targeted because of a recent encounter with teenage drug dealers, telling them not to sell in front of his house.
Reese said one of the teens promised they'd be back.
"I guess they don't think about the consequences that are gong to happen after they pull the trigger," said Reese.
While police have no suspects, they said it's possible low-level drug dealers are behind the drive-by.
Police are searching for a red Dodge Neon believed to have been involved.
Regardless of what happens, Reese insists he's not leaving anytime soon.
"No, that's how the neighborhood got that way. Everybody got scared and did move away. I'm not going to run away from it," said Reese.
