A tribute concert Sunday in McKees Rocks remembered Billy Mays and benefited a local service organization.

The event was held at the world-famous TV pitchman's alma mater, Sto-Rox High School. The concert included a petting zoo and face painting to celebrate Mays' life.

"Billy is smiling own on us today. I know that he's just so happy that everybody's here to celebrate on a happy day even though I'm so sad today," said Mays' mother, Joyce Mays-Palm.

The McKees Rocks native graduated from Sto-Rox in 1977. He died of heart failure in June.

The tribute concert raised money for a group called Focus on Renewal, a McKees Rocks social service agency.
