Neighbors came to the rescue during a house fire in Washington County.

A fire broke out inside the kitchen of a home in Daisytown late Friday night.

Police said a neighbor had just arrived home from work when he saw the fire and jumped into action. The man ran outside, grabbed a garden house and kept the fire under control until firefighters arrived on scene.

Officials said the man likely saved the home from burning to the ground.

Nobody was injured in the fire.
