Pittsburgh Police Chief Called To Active Duty

McNeilly Activated By Coast Guard

Robert McNeilly Jr., the City of Pittsburgh's chief of police, will report for active duty with the U.S. Coast Guard on Monday.

This is the second time that McNeilly has been called to active duty in the last two years. The other time was in September 2001.

A Marine from 1970-72, McNeilly has been a reservist since 1987.

Deputy Chief Charles Moffatt will serve as acting chief while McNeilly is on active duty.
