A truck driver was killed in an industrial accident at the Galv Tech plant on Mifflin Road in Pittsburgh's Hays neighborhood.

The Allegheny County Coroner's Office said Joseph Beck, 59, of Oakdale, was pinned beneath a forklift early Thursday.

Beck, a driver for PGT Trucking in Monaca, was making a stop at the Galv Tech Industrial warehouse in Pittsburgh when he was struck just before 7 a.m., authorities said.

Investigators think Beck was unable to hear the oncoming lift because of noise from a nearby warehouse.
