Police said they believe a missing 17-year-old girl who ran away from an Erie hospital Sunday night may be heading to the North Hills, where her family once lived.

Alena Luttner, 17, suffers from depression and is insulin dependent, her mother said.

Luttner is 5 feet 2 inches tall, 125 pounds and has long brown hair and hazel eyes.

Her mother said she fears her medical condition could put her in a diabetic coma.

"My fear is that, because she is insulin dependant every four hours, that, as she ran, that once again she will become unconscious and be lying somewhere," said mother Susan Luttner.

Anyone who has seen Alena Luttner is asked to contact police.
