2009 SOUTH FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A small airplane made an emergency landing at Washington County Airport on Thursday.County 911 got a call about the single-engine plane that landed on its belly at the airport in South Franklin Township at about 2 p.m."The aircraft was scheduled for maintenance upon landing and, for reasons unknown, the landing gear collapsed," said Craig Stephan, of Cheyenne Air Service.The pilot was the only person on board and was not hurt.Sky 4 flew over the airport, where several people could be seen examining the lower portion of the plane as it sat on a runway.
