Three former lunch ladies in the Woodland Hills School District have filed a federal lawsuit claiming they were fired for because of their age.

The women -- all in their sixties – filed the suit against West Newton’s Nutrition Inc.

The women say they were fired in October because the company didn't want to pay higher insurance premiums.

According to WTAE's news exchange partners at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, there were also allegations involving chicken nuggets and used aluminum foil.

One of the women gave her son six chicken nuggets when he stopped by the school one day.

Another woman collected used aluminum foil to take to a recycling center and said she was fired when a manager saw her with a box in the school parking lot.
