A Butler County chef came close but didn't win the top prize in Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa's nationwide search for the best grill recipe.

Zelienople chef Todd Nelson is a finalist in a rib recipe contest on "Live! With Regis and Kelly."

Todd Nelson, from The Kaufman House in Zelienople, was featured on Friday morning's broadcast of "Live With Regis and Kelly." His recipe for St. Louis Ribs with Raspberry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce was one of five finalists in the ribs category of the contest.

Philbin stumbled a bit as he tried to pronounce the borough's name.

"We have ribs with raspberry jalapeno sauce from The Kaufman House there in Zenapol. Zenapolie? What is it? Zelienople. I've never heard of that town, Pennsylvania," Philbin said.

A recipe for Fightin' Irish Whiskey Ribs from Bonefire Smokehouse in Kingsport, Tenn., was announced as the winner on Tuesday morning, based on fans' votes at livewithregisandkelly.com.
