The man accused of abducting and raping an 11-year-old girl as she walked home from school in Greenfield in May waived his preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

While the girl did not appear in court, her father did and recounted the feelings that still exist inside of him while sitting just a few feet away from the man accused of raping his daughter.

"I have a huge amount of anger and hate in me," said the girl's father, who WTAE Channel 4 has chosen not to identify in order to protect his daughter's identity. "I'm very upset, probably more upset than I've been about anything in my life."

His hatred is directed to 46-year-old Clyde Haidle, but the girl's father knows he must control his emotions.

"They have him where he should be and where I hope he stays. My anger has no place to go," the father said.

He told Channel 4 Action News reporter Sheldon Ingram that his daughter has changed since the alleged incident.

Channel 4's Sheldon Ingram speaks with the father of the 11-year-old girl who was allegedly raped while walking home from school in Greenfield.

"She's changed somewhat from an innocent sweet little girl to more of like a gothic character."

When asked if she seems angry, the girl's father replied, "All the time. I think she is very quick to get angry."

Haidle remains in the Allegheny County Jail awaiting a trial date.
