SUV, Special Needs School Bus Collide On Rt. 51

Pittsburgh Police Investigate Near Liberty Tunnels

Children were hurt when an SUV collided with a small school bus carrying special needs students Friday on Route 51 in Pittsburgh.

The crash happened near Bausman Street in the city's Bon Air/Brookline area, close to the Liberty Tunnels, at about 3:10 p.m.

The students were coming from Conroy Education Center in Manchester. Four were taken to city hospitals with minor-to-moderate injuries.

No charges have been filed. Pittsburgh police are still investigating.
