Falling Rock At Bailey Mine Kills Man

Officials with the Department of Environmental Protection have confirmed a miner is dead after an accident in Greene County.

The accident happened around 11 p.m. at Consol Energy's Bailey Mine near Claysville.

According to the DEP Robert Maust, 54, of Uniontown, was pronounced dead after he was struck by a falling rock.

Maust had been a coal miner for 10 years and worked for Consol for two years.
