An armed man wearing some sort of Pittsburgh Penguins jacket and dark glasses robbed a woman withdrawing money from an ATM in McCandless early Sunday morning.

McCandless police officers were called to PNC Bank at McIntyre Square near McKnight Road, where a woman told them that a man forced her to withdraw a specific amount of cash just after 8 a.m.

Police said the robber was armed with a silver handgun, and the woman described him as a white man in his 20s with a thin build, short brown hair, average height and possibly a mustache.

The man was last seen wearing a gray knit cap with a small bill, dark glasses and a jacket with the Pittsburgh Penguins logo on the left chest with the number 1967, the year which the team was founded.

The victim told police that the man drove a black, late-model, midsize Chevrolet, which was parked in the vicinity of the ATM. She remembered seeing the Chevy "bowtie" logo on the rear of the car.

Anyone who has information regarding this case is asked to call McCandless police at 412-369-7992.
