McCANDLESS, Pa. -- An armed man wearing some sort of Pittsburgh Penguins jacket and dark glasses robbed a woman withdrawing money from an ATM in McCandless early Sunday morning.
McCandless police officers were called to PNC Bank at McIntyre Square near McKnight Road, where a woman told them that a man forced her to withdraw a specific amount of cash just after 8 a.m.
Lt. Don O'Connor released surveillance photographs from the ATM on Monday.
Slideshow: ATM Surveillance ImagesPolice said the robber was armed with a silver handgun, and the woman described him as a white man in his 20s with a thin build, short brown hair, average height and possibly a mustache.
The man was last seen wearing a gray knit cap with a small bill, dark glasses and a jacket with the Pittsburgh Penguins logo on the left chest with the number 1967, the year which the team was founded.
The victim told police that the man drove a black, late-model, midsize Chevrolet, which was parked in the vicinity of the ATM. She remembered seeing the Chevy "bowtie" logo on the rear of the car.
