An apparent carjacking is being investigated in Duquesne, where a woman flagged down police officers and said her car was taken at gunpoint.

Duquesne Police Chief Richard Adams told WTAE Channel 4 Action News that officers were on patrol when a woman stopped them at Crawford Avenue and Chestnut Street.

While the officers were speaking with the woman, they saw her vehicle pull out from another street, Adams said.

Officers chased the suspects into Dravosburg, where police said the passenger and driver ditched the car and fled on foot.

Police found a plastic gun in the car, Adams said.

Officers arrested the passenger at the scene. Police said the driver was picked up by Glassport police as he was walking on the Mansfield Bridge.

Investigators said the woman identified the suspects at the Duquesne police station. Both men are facing charges of robbery and carjacking.

Neither of the suspects' names has been released yet.
