Overnight Fire Damages Monroeville House

Allegheny Fire Marshal Investigating

An overnight fire at a house in Monroeville is under investigation.

The fire started at about 1 a.m. Friday in the 4500 block of Old William Penn Highway.

Firefighters quickly doused the flames.

Two firefighters were inside the house looking for people when they became disoriented in the smoke. They called for help and were quickly rescued.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
