The driver of the second car, Christopher McDermott, was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital. Early Friday afternoon, an updated police report said McDermott had died.

State police at the Kiski Valley barracks are investigating the crash. They said neither Diehl nor McDermott was wearing a seat belt.
