WHITE OAK, Pa. -- Wednesday's heavy rains, which left a trail of destruction across much of southwestern Pennsylvania, also left one Allegheny County family without a driveway.

Family Relies On Boat, ATV After Storm Takes Out BridgeIn White Oak, the bridge connecting the Scarpone family's driveway to Jacks Run Road snapped off when Jacks Run flooded, wiping away the bridge and a portion of their front yard.
"It just came up so quick, I had a bad feeling it was not going to stay," Brian Scarpone said. "We never lost our bridge before, but we just had so much rain in a short amount of time last night."
Repairs are expected to cost thousands of dollars.
In the meantime, the family is using a rowboat and an all-terrain vehicle to get around.
