The Woodland Hills School Board has voted to close Rankin Intermediate School at the end of the school year.

The vote was 5-4 on Monday night.

School officials have said it would take $16 million to improve the building's condition.

Currently 204 students attend the school in Allegheny County.

Board members still have to take up the issue of where those students will attend school next year.
