New Stanton Turnpike Service Plaza Opens

More On The Way Over Next Few Years

The Pennsylvania Turnpike's newly rebuilt and expanded New Stanton Service Plaza opened Monday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Located at milepost 77.6 in Hempfield, it serves westbound traffic and is the fifth new service plaza to be constructed on the turnpike's mainline.

Turnpike Commission CEO Joe Brimmeier said 12 more plazas are scheduled by 2014.
