State police in Westmoreland County are investigating more than 30 holes were dug in a homeowner's back yard.

Police in New Alexandria said they plan to charge Robert Milton Beatty, 52, with criminal mischief and trespassing.

Along with the holes, police said Beatty is also responsible for ripping out five plants from the yard.

Police said they believe a neighborly dispute may be behind the incident.

Beatty told a judge he had nothing to do with the damage.

District Judge Mark Bilik said he was aware of the case but no charges had been filed as of Monday afternoon.
