  • Somerset Fire Victim Identified

    Person Found In Burning Home In Addison

    Investigators in Somerset County are looking into a fatal fire in Addison Township.

    According to a news release from state police, neighbors called 911 after noticing a house on Oak Road was on fire early Sunday morning.

    When four fire departments from Addison, Confluence, Markleysburg and Farmington, arrived, fire crews found the house engulfed in flames.

    While fighting the fire, crews found the remains of a person.

    WTAE's news exchange partners at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported the victim is 46-year-old David Poturich.

    Police said he died of smoke inhalation.

    The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
