Bob Cranmer Jr., 23, had been accused of sexually attacking an 18-year-old woman in Brentwood while giving her a ride home at about 3 a.m. on New Year's Day 2008.

According to the criminal complaint, Cranmer Jr. stopped his pickup truck on Wanley Road -- an unpaved municipal service road -- then ordered the woman to get out, pushed her onto the truck bed and forced her to perform sex acts.

Cranmer Jr., of Brentwood, continues to deny any rape occurred. Instead, he pleaded guilty to simple assault and was sentenced to two years of probation.
