Boy's Defense Tries To Dismiss Evidence In Dad's Girlfriend's DeathJordan Brown, 11, Charged As Adult With HomicidePOSTED: 6:55 pm EDT March 30, 2009 NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Defense attorneys are trying to get evidence dismissed against 11-year-old Jordan Brown, who's charged as an adult with killing his father's pregnant fiancee.State police in Lawrence County allege that Brown shot 26-year-old Kenzie Houk in February at Houk's Wampum farmhouse, where the boy lived with her and his father.Brown's attorneys say a warrant issued the day of the shooting was not signed by a police officer, and they're questioning whether a judge had the authority to issue that warrant. The warrant lists 32 items taken from Houk's home, including shotgun shells and bedding.District Attorney John Bongivengo said the warrant is valid and the judge is the only person required to sign it.Brown is being held at a juvenile detention center in Erie while he awaits his adult trial in Lawrence County.
