A new exhibit at the Carnegie Science Center aims to bring Charles Darwin to life.

A collaboration between Duquesne and Carnegie Mellon universities has created a new exhibit which allows visitors to ask the famous scientist questions about his life and the theory of evolution.

Local actor Randy Kovitz plays the role of Darwin at age 50 when he published his "Origin of Species."

"He's going to interact with you. You have a touch screen. You can pose lots of different questions about his childhood, his life as an adult, his life as a scientist and the religious issues that come along with evolution," said John Pollock of Duquesne University.

The creators of the exhibit said they recognize that it has been more than a century since Darwin died and have added perspectives ranging from the Vatican's chief scientist to someone from the American Civil Liberties Union.
