2002 PITTSBURGH -- A 15-year-old boy was being treated in Allegheny General Hospital for bites he allegedly received from a pit bull, WTAE's Sheldon Ingram reported Monday.
Jecardo Everett (pictured, right) was in stable condition after receiving 20 staples to close head wounds suffered in the incident, which happened around 8 p.m. Sunday in the Perry South section of Pittsburgh's North Side.Everett said he was visiting relatives in a house on Bark Street when Judo (pictured, left) began fighting with another one of the family's pit bulls. Everett said Judo bit him on the back and arms when he tried to break up the fight, then repeatedly bit him on the top of his head when he curled up in retreat.Animal control officers said the dog has been vaccinated and is up to date with its shots.
