Allegheny County police hope some pieces of clothing found near the scene of a fatal shooting will help them identify and catch a killer.

Tamir Thomas, 29, of Forest Hills, was fatally shot outside the McKeesport Elks Club on Walnut Street shortly after 3 a.m. on Oct. 25, police said.

A baseball cap and a jacket recovered near the scene of the shooting are believed to have been left by the killer during his or her escape, police said.

The jacket is black, zippered and hooded. The cap is black, with red and white pinstripes, a flat brim and the Boston Red Sox "B" logo.

Anyone who recognizes the clothes or has information about the shooting is asked to call county homicide detectives at 412-473-1300. Tips can be confidential, police said.

Another person was injured in the shooting that killed Thomas. The second victim's name has not been released.

No arrests have been made, and police have not discussed a possible motive for the shooting.
