Police say the descriptions and modus operandi of a man who forcefully grabbed several women in the vicinity of Brownsville Road match a local pizza delivery worker.

In broad daylight, along busy streets in a community where people walk and many are watching, police said 30-year-old David Marshall was lurking. Brentwood Police said the pizza deliveryman working nearby twice approached women and grabbed them on Tuesday.

Police said Marshall was arrested Thursday evening, but they did not say what charges had been filed.

To those like Sandy Stiefvater, who walk this community, word of the gropings had them and their families on alert.

"I walk every day. I walk from Carrick to St. Sylvester's to get my granddaughter from school…I was just teaching my granddaughter how to use my cell phone to call for help. We were just discussing it and I was showing her what he looked like and everything," Stiefvater said.

"It's a very big concern because we live in the neighborhood," said Jetty Hobart, of Brentwood.

Two of the victims told police there appeared to be "something wrong" with the man.

"I'm not going to take back streets or walk by myself. I'll keep my phone in my hand," said Emily Fava, of Carrick.

One of the incidents happened near her home at Elton Avenue and Brownsville Road; the other, near Brentwood Bank. Both were in the middle of the day and within hours of each other.

But while investigators say Marshall was sneaky, they say he was not undercover. A witness had specifics on the man grabbing women.

"She provided us with information concerning the suspect's vehicle, the type and color, and she was also able to read the writing on the front of his T-shirt, which was from a local pizza shop," said Chief Robert Butelli of the Brentwood Police.

Butelli said his officers went to that pizza shop, found Marshall, and they said he confessed.
