Pittsburgh Shooting Suspect Found In Downtown Courthouse

Man Was Appearing In Court On Another Case

POSTED: 7:49 am EDT September 25, 2008

A shooting suspect was caught in an unlikely place -- the Allegheny County Courthouse.

William Lee, 21, was arrested after he went to the downtown courthouse for a hearing on unrelated drug charges Wednesday, according to WTAE Channel 4's news exchange partners at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Police had been looking for Lee in connection with an Aug. 11 incident in which a man was shot and wounded during a robbery in the Hill District.

County sheriff's deputies discovered the warrant for Lee during a routine check and took him into custody, Sheriff William Mullen said.

Lee's address was not available.
