The brakes on a plane failed in Penn Township at the Boquet Airport Tuesday evening.

The manager of the airport said the pilot was trying to land the plane when the front brakes malfunctioned and the plane's nose went into the grass off the side of the runway.

The pilot and his son were the only ones on board the plane at the time of the crash. They were not injured.

Officials told Channel 4 Action News the plane is a total loss.
