PITTSBURGH -- The battle over ownership of the Pittsburgh Steelers heads behind closed doors in New York next week.

Steelers Chairman Dan Rooney and his four brothers are scheduled to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Thursday.

Dan Rooney and his son Art have been trying to hold onto principle ownership of the team even though Dan’s brothers have decided to sell their shares.

NFL rules state the brothers cannot continue to own the team while still having a stake in gambling and racing venues.
