Officials say they have a major fire under control in the business district of Hooversville, a small Somerset County borough.

The fire at the former Grand Central Hotel on Main Street started about 4:30 a.m. Friday.

Authorities say the fire at the old hotel -- which is now an apartment building -- threatened an old bank and another building, but it has been kept from spreading.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

At least five local fire companies battled the blaze.
