Motorcyclist Dies In Butler County Crash

State Police: Teen Struck, Drove Over Woman

POSTED: 6:18 pm EDT July 12, 2008

A teenager who state police said drove over a motorcyclist on Saturday could face charges.

State police said a 17-year-old, who was not wearing a seat belt while driving a sport-utility vehicle, struck a 49-year-old motorcyclist who was waiting to make a left turn from the southbound lane of Route 68 in Chicora, Butler County.

State police said the SUV continued to drive over the motorcyclist, who then ended up in a yard at about 12:30 p.m.

Paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the motorcyclist, identified as Raylene Saceric, of Chicora. Crews pronounced her dead before she was to be airlifted to an area hospital.

State police did not identify the teen because of age, except to indicate that the teen is from Bruin.
